nymphlight Adorable ‘clockworktronica’, full of playfulness, melody, eeriness and warmth. Sounds like an orchestra of automata from the V&A Museum of Chilhood mixed with wonderfully evocative, nostalgic, retrofuturistic electronic music. I was lucky enough to get one of the 50 physical copies back in 2009, and I am happy to buy this again, though digitally, now in full, with the lovingly unique ‘sketches’ only the original owners of such treasurable hand-packaged CDrs were able to hear at the time.

In 2009, I invited Piano Magic fans to make a contribution of no less than £10 towards the recording of a new album by my experimental electronic project, Textile Ranch. In return, copies of ‘Tombola,’ featured an exclusive “sketch” dedicated to each of the individual purchasers – ie, ‘Sketch for Aaron Tilford.’ Hence, no two copies of the album were exactly the same. Given that the recording of the exclusive tracks and hand assembly of the physical sleeves was rather taxing (to say the least), I limited 'Tombola' to just 50 copies.

Many were more than generous with their donations and any profits, once my production overheads were covered, went towards establishing a new record label : Second Language Music.

For the first time, here are the 52 tracks I recorded for ‘Tombola,’ including the sketches. In order to protect the privacy of the original donors, I have used only their initials here.

Due to my wayward way with track labelling at the time, some of these tracks may have a variant title!
